Some patients report a temporary improvement in skin firmness immediately following the treatment. This transient effect, which may last for approximately 24-48 hours, is due to the thermal contraction of existing collagen fibres.
The primary, long-term clinical effects develop gradually over several weeks. This is a result of neocollagenesis (the production of new collagen). The full therapeutic outcome is typically observed from three months after the completion of the treatment course. It is important to note that individual responses and timelines will vary.
You may experience redness and/or swelling for up to two days following the treatment. Small scabs may occur on the surface of the skin in the week after your treatment, as may dry and flaky skin. The side effects will dissappear within a week following treatment.
