Rosacea Subtype | Description |

Erythematotelangiectatic Rosacea | Sufferers will have facial redness, often described as a flushed appearance, and may have visible blood vessels below the skin of the face. |
Papulopustular Rosacea | Often termed acne rosacea, this form is characterized by inflamed skin, including spots, pimples, or small bumps. It mainly affects the face but can also appear on other parts of the body or head. |
Phymatous Rosacea | Also known as Rhinophyma, this subtype affects the nose, typically in older men. The nose can range from darker pink to purple in color, with excess tissue growth causing distortion of its shape. |

IPL treatment for Rosacea
IPL for rosacea has been tested across the world and is proven to be a safe and effective treatment.
IPl works by applying controlled light energy to the affected area. The light energy is then attracted to the red blood cells. The application of the laser heats up the blood vessels instantly to effectively destroy the blood vessel lining.
The intense pulsed light works to alleviate any redness, inflammation, reduce uneven skin tones and blemishes that are caused by the condition. IPL for rosacea is a gentle yet efficient way to gradually improve your skin, and aid in it’s return to its healthy state.
Rejuvenating Solutions are well versed in the methods of using IPL for the treatment of rosacea.

Rosacea FAQs
We will assess your rosacea and take some medical details from you. Treatment options will be fully explained to you and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions.
Your therapist apply a thin layer of gel to your face and you will be required to wear a pair of eye protecting glasses.
The therapist will and provide you with eye protectors. During the treatment, your therapist will move the handheld applicator over your face to deliver a short pulse of light to the area to be treated.
While being treated the IPL machine will deliver bursts on red light to the treatment area.
You will feel a small degree of warmth and a light sensation that feels like a light tapping on the skin.
The IPL treatment will not take longer than approximately 30 minutes.
Depending on the severity of the rosacea we estimate that 3-6 treatments scheduled about a month apart would be required to receive optimal results. This varies from patient to patient.
IPL is one of the most effective therapies for the treatment of rosacea. You should start to see improvements in your skin condition within a few days after the first treatment. Optimal results will be noticed after a course of 3-6 treatments over the course of 3-6 months. Again, this will vary, depending on the patient.
You should expect a certain degree of redness and swelling after your treatment. Occasionally, after IPL treatment, patients report an itchy sensation. You may also notice that any age spots on the face may start to crust over and after time start to flake off.
IPL treatments are generally regarded as a very safe treatment when carried out by a fully trained professional therapist. As will all treatments there is a small risk of side effects. Your therapist will carry out a patch test prior to the treatment to negate any risk of side effects.
