Your Options

You have treatment options open to you if you would like to do something about your wrinkles.

Which option would work best in your case would depend on the type (see below), the extent and depth, and the location, amongst other factors. It could well be the case that a dual approach is recommended.

Understanding Lines And Wrinkles

Wrinkles are a natural part of the ageing process by way of collagen and elastin degrading and their production slowing down. Varied factors like sun exposure, lifestyle, and genetics can accelerate their appearance, too.

Wrinkles can be divided into two categories: dynamic and static. Understanding the type of wrinkles you have plays a main part in determining the most effective treatment.

Dynamic Lines

Dynamic lines are expression lines that appear when your face is in motion, such as when you smile, frown, or raise your eyebrows. Repeated facial expressions over time lead to these lines becoming more permanent.

These are typically found in areas like the forehead, around the eyes, and between the brows. Treatments like Botulinum A (a muscle relaxant) are highly effective in smoothing out these expression lines, giving you a more relaxed and refreshed appearance.

Static Lines

Static lines, on the other hand, are visible even when your face is at rest. These lines are often a result of the natural ageing process, loss of collagen, and environmental factors. Interestingly enough, your sleeping position also has a bearing.

Static lines can deepen over time due to gravity and loss of skin elasticity. Common areas affected by static lines include the cheeks, around the mouth, and the neck. Treatments such as dermal fillers and RF microneedling can significantly reduce the appearance of static lines, restoring volume and promoting skin regeneration.

Our Approach to Wrinkle Reduction

At Rejuvenating Solutions, we like to follow a highly personalised approach to wrinkle reduction.

Our immensely experienced practitioners will begin with a thorough consultation to understand your specific concerns and skin type. This allows us to tailor a treatment plan that addresses your unique needs and aesthetic goals.

Treatment Options at Rejuvenating Solutions

We offer a range of treatments for wrinkle reduction, each designed to target specific types of lines and wrinkles. Our treatments include:

Muscle Relaxants

Ideal for dynamic lines, these treatments temporarily relax facial muscles, resulting in a smoother, more youthful appearance. Botulinum Type A is used to temporarily paralyse the muscles causing wrinkles. This substance has been in use for over four decades both for medical and aesthetic purposes.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are used to fill static lines. We only use the absolute best brands of hyaluronic acid-based filler at the clinic to ensure a safe, predictable result. Dermal filler smooths out lines and fills hollows to give a less wrinkled appearance to the skin.

Bio-stimulators

These work to stimulate collagen. The one we use in clinic, Sculptra, uses a safe and biocompatible ingredient derived from corn starch. It sends signals out for the body to produce more collagen and ultimately reduce lines and wrinkles.

RF Microneedling

We have the excellent Endymed system in clinic. It uses a different approach to target lines and wrinkles. It helps stimulate collagen with the help of radiofrequency energy and ultimately works to restore lost volume.

Polynucleotides

Research indicates that polynucleotides can effectively prompt fibroblasts into action, enhancing their collagen and elastin synthesis. This interaction invigorates the fibroblasts present in our dermal layers, leading to an increased production of these vital skin proteins.

Lines and Wrinkles FAQ

All our treatments have be meticulously researched with regards to safety. All have methods that have been in use for many years.

We are CQC regulated and have a stringent safety policy in place. That being said, all treatments have the potential for side effects, although serious side effects are very rare.
Please ask us about this, and anything else, if you have any concerns.

Probably not. Most treatments are designed to allow you to carry on your day post-treatment. However, it does depend on a few factors. You may have some redness and swelling, depending on the area treated, and the particular treatment you have.
