EXOSOMES

Purasomes Exosome Therapy utilises exosome technology to address specific cellular and structural alterations observed in ageing skin. Our exosome treatment protocol is designed to address specific clinical presentations such as solar elastosis, rhytides, and loss of dermal support, by influencing cellular repair mechanisms.Whatever may be your area of concern, our exosome treatment can help revitalise and renew.

Exosome therapy is employed to modulate cellular activity and enhance the skin’s natural physiological functions, with the goal of achieving measurable improvements in skin condition.

What Are Exosomes?

Purasomes is a patented exosome-based formulation derived from organic bovine colostrum (the nutrient-rich first milk). This advanced formula is packed with billions of purified exosomes and over a dozen growth factors and nutrients. When applied to the skin, particularly with micro-needling, these exosomes deliver their bioactive components to skin cells. This aims to enhance intercellular signalling and support cellular functions that may decline with age.

This therapy aims to modulate fibroblast function, enhance the production of key extracellular matrix proteins like collagen and elastin, and support normal keratinocyte cycling, leading to measurable improvements in skin’s biomechanical properties and overall condition. Because Purasomes is derived from natural colostrum and highly purified, it is extremely safe and biocompatible with human skin, supporting skin’s physiological processes with a high biocompatibility profile.

Frequently Asked Questions

Patient safety is the primary consideration for this treatment. The Purasomes exosome product is derived from purified sources and undergoes extensive laboratory testing. The formulation is acellular, meaning it contains no live cells or DNA, which minimises the potential for an allergic or immune response.

The procedure is generally well-tolerated by patients. To manage any potential discomfort, a topical anaesthetic cream is applied to the treatment area beforehand.

During the treatment, you may experience a mild tingling or prickling sensation. Your practitioner will monitor your comfort level throughout the session and can make adjustments to the procedure as required.

This treatment involves minimal downtime. Following the procedure, the most common effects are mild erythema (redness) and minor swelling, which typically resolve within 24 to 48 hours. Some patients may also experience slight tenderness in the treated area.

Most patients can resume their usual activities the day after their appointment. We will provide you with specific aftercare instructions, which will include the application of a high-factor SPF and the temporary avoidance of certain topical products. All potential side effects and risks will be discussed in detail during your medical consultation.

Initial changes, such as improved skin hydration and texture, may be noticeable within the first week. The primary therapeutic action occurs over several weeks as the exosomes signal cellular processes, leading to neocollagenesis (the production of new collagen). This helps to improve the skin’s structural integrity.

  • While a single session can initiate a cellular response, a course of multiple treatments is usually required for a sustained clinical outcome. This approach provides a cumulative effect on collagen synthesis. During your medical consultation, your practitioner will determine the appropriate number of sessions for your specific condition.

Purasomes exosome therapy is indicated for adults presenting with specific physiological changes in their skin. Following a thorough medical assessment, it may be prescribed as a non-surgical option for managing certain age-related skin conditions.
